Playtime
This week has been pretty quiet. We did hear that Dee was offered a position with a new company and he'll be starting the second week in June - yippee! Avery and Liam are doing well, although we think Avery's either having it out with her back molars, or she has a cold. She did the cutest thing the other night at Petco - she loves to go see the kitties, and while she was looking in their cages, one was curled up asleep. She turned around and put her finger up to her lip and said "shh". It was too adorable.
Liam has now slept through the night 4 nights - we're hoping that's a sign of good things to come. He is sleeping in his swing, but, he's sleeping. He goes to his stomach doctor this week - he's been coughing and choking pretty badly when he eats, so we're going to see if they can change his medicine, or figure out why he's doing that.
Below are a few pictures from our day out at the park Saturday.

I'm just going to hang out here with you mom...

Update
Happy belated Mother's Day to all the moms out there...
This past week we've had a little excitement - it started off with a horrible storm Sunday (see pictures below) and progressed into Avery having hand, foot and mouth disease. I have absolutely no clue where that came from. Luckily she's better, and the baby didn't catch it. Oh, and Avery got her first pedicure this week...she loves her pink toes. =)

Day at the Lazy 5 Ranch
Today we went to the Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville - pretty cool place - you drive around their grounds and feed all sorts of animals along the way - Avery loved it, as long as they didn't come to her side of the car wanting food. She in particular hated the Emu (what is the plural of Emu?) - one scared her pretty badly when we first got there.
Avery telling the camel "hey"
Mama feeding some enormous deer/antelope thing...

Daddy and Avery feeding a Lama (or as Avery called them, Mama)

Cool pic of an ostrich - Avery hated these too - looked too much like the dreaded Emu.

Last day of maternity leave...
Unfortunately, today's it - going back to work Monday - so I decided to have a fun day with the kids and we went to the fountains at Birkdale for a little afternoon splashing. Avery was a little scared at first, but after about 30 mins was splashing around with everyone else. Oh, and today's Liam's 12 week birthday.
Yes, that would be 6 paci's in her bed...
Happy 12 week bday Little Man! Newborn, and now.

A bit of a rough day...
So Avery has been in a terrible mood today and her usually quiet naptime turned into a scream fest - much to my dismay. She's never gotten out of her bed, but today, she got out 3 or 4 times and was beating on the door screaming for me. The last time I went and put her back, I heard her bang a few seconds later, then nothing - I was hoping that meant she had finally crawled back into her bed and went to sleep - this is what I saw as I tried to open the door - she was dead asleep right behind the door - I could only get the door open far enough to squeeze my hand and the camera in to take a shot...

Welcome to our new blog.
Avery's website was a bit tedious to deal with, so I've gone back to a simpler, easier to use blog. This way, we can also let you know what the kiddos are up to as well as share some pics.
Avery just had her 18 month check up at the dr's yesterday - she's 30lbs and 33 inches - still over 95% in everything. Dee took her because I couldn't deal with her crying with her shots - he says she shed not one tear. That's the power of having daddy with you I suppose. Liam is almost 12 weeks old - wow has time flown by these past 3 months. He's starting to chub out - he's getting rolls on his arms and legs and his little cheeks are so chubby. :) He's also starting to grow into his little personality - he loves to talk and coo and I can usually always muster a cute smile or laugh out of him. I think he's definitely a mama's boy. He's been off his apnea monitor for almost a week now - I'm so glad we're not having to tote that thing around anymore. It served its purpose, but it sure was a pain.
I start back to work in a week - I'm so not looking forward to leaving these two. We've finally mastered our at home routine and now we're moving on...I'm going to miss them terribly during the day.
